Railways
Members build and run steam, petrol and battery electric powered locomotives in 3½”, 5” and 7¼” rail
gauges. The society has a recently refurbished club house in Northcliff Woods at Shipley, The entrance being

There are two miniature railways at this site, the smaller being a raised oval track some 440 feet long which accommodates
3½” and 5” gauge locomotives. The other more recently constructed ground level railway caters for 5" & 7¼” gauge
locomotives and is
approximately 2000 feet long with through line, station line and sidings. Both
tracks have steaming bays & turntables.
Both railways carry passengers on Sunday
afternoons through out the summer months and in winter on occasions, weather
permitting.
